Your vehicle
Private A/C car — the mountain roads are winding and cool. Sanka is a careful driver who knows these routes intimately.
Tour pacing
Varies. Horton Plains is a 3-hour loop on easy terrain. Adam's Peak is a 2.5–4.5 hour night climb. Nuwara Eliya is pure relaxation.
Bring layers — the highlands are 10–15°C cooler than Ella, especially at dawn.
A hill-country local who knows the roads and the weather
Ella sits at the heart of the hill country, so Sanka grew up driving these roads. He'll tell you which tea estate is open, which Horton Plains trail is quietest, how cold it really gets at World's End, and where to eat a proper string-hopper breakfast in Nuwara Eliya. Safe driver, honest prices, genuine local.
